Agile Modeling

Scott Ambler will be in Kansas City next week (9/20/05-9/22/05) conducting his 3-day Agile Modeling workshop. For more information visit: http://www.visionpace.com/developereducation.html

While he's in town, he'll be presenting at AgileKC on 9/21/05. For more information visit: http://www.agilekc.org

Scott pioneered the agile modeling approach, so it'll be interesting to hear about this important technique first-hand. Modeling is important for software development and Agile modeling is critical if you're following an Agile software development approach. I'm attending his 3-day workshop and the AgileKC event so it'll be a jam-packed 3+ days for me.

To read an interview with Scott, visit: http://www.visionpace.com/ScottAmblerinterview.htm

From the AgileKC site: Scott Ambler will present, "The Agile Unified Process" and will share his recent work in taking an agile approach to the Rational Unified Process (RUP) and show how to tailor the RUP down to something very agile in practice. He'll also discuss his recent work in database refactoring and Agile Model Driven Development (AMDD).http://www.ambysoft.com. He is an active member of the Agile Alliance focusing on Agile Database Techniques and Agile Modeling and specializing in agile software development, training and mentoring, architectural audits of mission-critical systems, and modeling issues. Scott is a Senior Contributing Editor with Software Development magazine. He is author of a number of development books including, The Elements of UML 2.0 Style, Agile Modeling, The Object Primer 3rd Edition, and the award-winning Agile Database Techniques. He has authored numerous magazine and journal articles as well as white papers on object-oriented software development, software process, agile software development, and other topics. He works on multi-scale software development projects and on software process improvement (SPI) throughout North America, Europe and Australasia.  Scott is sought after as a consultant and speaker at major industry conferences around the world.

I'm sure his presentation will be highly interactive as Scott is always happy to entertain questions from the audience.
